Hello Blogging World!

I'm Abigail, a 16 year old Teen Fashion Junkie who is reletivley new to the Blogging world but has long followed other Fashion Blogs. This Blog will probably just be my random ramblings about pretty things that I'd like to buy, things that get on my nerves, shopping lists, outfit posts. The usual crap. But here's a couple of questions I decided to answer about fashion and style

1)Favourite designers?

Zac Posen for Fall 2008, I loved the collars, the monochrome, the flash of red and sprinkling of sequins. And the Mickey mouse ears? That was just plain cute. I watched Gok Wan’s Fashion Fix the other week and he was looking through Kelly Osborne’s wardrobe and she had a pair of those and was saying Kylie had another pair of something similar, but I was pretty sure it wasn’t Zac Posen’s. Anywaysss, off topic. Yeah Zac’s tasty pour moi at the moment.

But my favourite designer, oh how cliché but Chanel couture is just beautiful, just mind blowing. What else, Miu Miu, Givenchy.

Oh fuck this, I’m pissing myself off, basics is I like what I like. Next question!

2) Favourite up-and-coming designers?

Grace Weller, a.k.a my best friend, she is going to go far, she’s currently making 3 dresses, 2 mini, 1 full length that are just incredibly beautiful with hand embroidered bodices, when I get a photograph I’ll show you. Remember her name

3) Favourite stores (clothes, shoes, cosmetics, accessories, vintage, home, gifts, ONLINE preferably)?

16 year old student/Part time waitress equals very little money so I’m a high street girl through and through. Clothes shops for basics I like New Look and Primark is suitable for vests and undies and socks etc. Topshop to be honest is overpriced and badly made. I love ASOS because there is just so much choice. For shoes, Next is up to date and New Look has cheap, ‘throw-away-fashion’ shoes although they don’t last 2 minutes. Of course Kurt Geiger is love and Office is good. Accessories I love to scour and delve into piles of stuff in Vintage and Charity shops all round the country. I’ve been known to travel to expensive parts of London like St John’s Wood and Primrose Hill and scour in Charity shops there after being told “they throw away better stuff!” Netaporter is where I sit and dream and play the “If I had all the money in the world” game. Ahhh to dream…

4) Who are your personal style icons?

Peter Pan, he stays young forever and that’s what I want to be.

5) Favourite new trends?

Tomato red. Black lace. White lace. Masks. Hair adornments. Body con still. Navy blue dress. Brightly coloured tights. Gold raybans. T-shirt dresses. Stacked heels. Tan leather fringing on boots and bags.

6) Trend you're over?

Denim skirts with leggings. Patent. Short blonde crops. Plaid. Leopard print…

7) What is the best purchase you've ever made and why?

Ok, if the question asked had been “What would you rescue in a fire?” the answer would have been the same (not my cat- I don’t have a cat…); my leather jacket. I bought it last November and it is my pride and joy. I searched throughout September and October with no avail and then I found it…It’s a dream, it’s from Mango and it cost me way more than I had ever spent on anything at my age but it’s been totally worth it, I wore it all through the Winter and have had so many compliments on it and the fact that I’m definitely a ‘leather jacket wearing chick’. Last Winter leather jackets were a huge trend but I will continue to wear mine because it’s just fabulous and fits me beautifully. I hope I’ve finished growing.

8) Beauty tips?

Bedhead’s cat fight, it’s blue and smells great and is sticky like glue, it’s great for my hair which is short and choppy. Baby wipes and my electric toothbrush and I’m good to go!

9) Right now, every girl needs a _____ ? (gold metallic clutch, pair of black platforms, deep red lipstick etc.)

Pair of sunglasses to protect you from the non existent sunshine in the UK!

10) If you could raid anyone's closet, who would it be and why? (Ideally not obvious icons like Sienna Miller, Kate Moss)

Blondie’s or Joan Collin’s. That’d be fun!

11) Favourite places to go out?

A rooftop garden in god knows where in London and a little café in my village where the guy lets you smoke there and is like a really cool old hippy and it has an art gallery also.

12) Music that's on your iPod right now? (Top 5 bands/songs you're obsessed with and why)

I’ve just seen the Mamma Mia Movie so I’m loving Abba, the Ting Tings, Lily Allen’s new stuff and a bit of Madonna

13) What do you buy at the newsstand?

Vogue

4) Where do you go to stock up on great, inexpensive items?

Primark, don’t judge me

15) If you had £1000 to blow on one item for Autumn what would it be?

A new little black dress from Balmain, Aquascutum or Chanel. I would wear it all the time. To be honest, 1 grand probably isn’t enough!

16) What item of your wardrobe do you rely on during the fall?

My black leather boots, leather jacket and plenty of hats
