Shoestring Budget

There are some Dr Marten Boots are on Sale on ASOS in the Mens Section. As I'm about 5"11 I have quite big feet, about 8, sometimes 9, usually 8 though. But I was just wondering if the Mens and Women are the same. They are half price and I'm sure no one could tell the difference once they're on.

So obviously different as they are posed on a male model, now does the rubber look the same thickness? They look pretty identical to me. The only difference is the Women's pair aren't in the sale and the Men's are at half price; £30 here!

Would I look like a clown in them though? I wonder what the return policy on them is...

I want these boots not sure if I can justify spending even £30 right now because of the saving for the holiday- but they might go if I don't get them now! I might ask Daddy, he might approve because they're cool or borrow it and pay it back in say...September?
